DCA Veterans X1 played friendly cricket match with Eastern Province Cricket Association (EPCA X1) on Thursday August 21, 2014 at the Dhahran cricket ground. It was first ever meeting between the two veterans teams. Players of yesteryears combined with some current playing cricketers and played memorable T/20 match under hot and humid conditions. Jamshad Meer DCA captain won the toss and elected to bat first. Good opening stand between Wajhat Ali & Rafiq Khurshid was followed by stunning century by the skipper. Imran Afzal & Zia Tunio also made valuable contributions with bat. DCA team scored 203/9 in 20 overs.

EPCA team started very well by scoring 28 runs in the opening over. Fine bowling later got wickets and contained the EPCA in the middle overs. They unleashed good hitting at the end by scoring 174 / 9. Qasim Qazi, Farooq A Khan, Safdar Husnain, Muhanned Asif, Zia Tunio, Imran Haroon shared the wickets. Amjad Bilal & Tariq Mahmood also supported the team. DCA X1 won by 29 runs. EPCA President Farhat Mahmood praised DCA for organizing the match and hope that this cricket format will continue.
